WHO : INB negotiating modality proposes stage-managed text-based talks (PRIV)

Stage-managed text-based negotiations in parallel sessions are the proposed modality for the 9th meeting of the Intergovernme ntal Negotiating Body (INB) on the pandemic instrument. This threatens to compromise the participation of Member States especially those having small delegations.

The humanitarian crisis in Syria continues to intensify, with an astounding 16.7 million individuals needing humanitarian assistance - the highest number of people requiring assistance since the co nflict began, according to the United Nations Special Envoy for Syria, Mr. Geir O. Pedersen.
