The high-profile meeting of capital-based senior officials on 23 October apparently failed to decide on any deliverab le in agriculture for the World Trade Organization's 13th ministerial conference (MC13), to be held in Abu Dhabi in February next year, as seemingly deep differences came into the open on food security, the permanent solution for public stockholding (PSH) programs for food security, the special safeguard mechan ism for developing countries, and domestic support, said participants familiar with the discussions.

The UNFCCC's Transitional Committee (TC), set up to operationalise new funding arrangements and the Fund to add ress loss and damage, failed to agree on an outcome, mainly due to the obstructi ve and rigid stance of developed countries, primarily over the location of the Fun d, which they aggressively pushed to be hosted by the World Bank (WB).
