ACP group exposes asymmetries in chair's draft fisheries text (PRIV)

Many developing countries, including the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) group, the largest coalition of develo ping countries at the World Trade Organization (WTO), apparently expressed sharp concerns over the draft negotiating text issued by the chair of the Doha fi sheries subsidies negotiations, Ambassador Einar Gunnarsson of Iceland, on grounds that it is tilted in favour of preserving the subsidies provided by the big subs idizers that allegedly contribute to overcapacity and overfishing, said people fami liar with the discussions.
