Trade : WTO members step up discussions on reforms (PRIV)

Members of the World Trade Organization on 8 May discussed several proposals with differing goals for reforming the WT O, but they seemingly faced difficulties in expressing their considered assessments/opinions within the three-minute time limit for making statemen ts, as prescribed by the new General Council (GC) chair, said people familiar with the discussions.

"Urban" Kenya has been alerted because a new mosquito species, Anopheles stephensi, threatens to derail de cades of effort made in the fight against malaria.

Pakistan : Theatre used to dispel polio immunisation myths (PRIV)

Pakistan, one of two polio-endemic countries in the world, has started staging theatrical dramas to promote immunisation in an attempt to encourage parents who refuse to allow their children to be vaccinated.
