WTO DG expects two out of five possible outcomes at MC12 (PRIV)

With less than 48 hours left for the World Trade Organization's 12th ministerial conference (MC12) in Geneva, the WTO Director-General Ms Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, while apparently acknowledging that negotiations are in a difficult stage, also allegedly said that two out of five possible outcomes could materialize at MC12, said people familiar with the development.

Global foreign direct investment (FDI) flows recovered to pre-pandemic levels in 2021, reaching $1.58 trillion, up 64 per cent from the exceptionally low level in 2020, the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has said.
