By disrupting economic and livelihood activities, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a dramatic economic downturn and exacerbated hunger and food insecurity in the Asia and the Pacific region, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) have said.
