WHO : WHASS negotiations stuck on nature of new instrument on pandemics (PRIV)

 Negotiations on the outcome of the World Health Assembly Special Session (WHASS) are stuck due to the difference of opinion regarding the nature of the new instrument to be developed on pandemic preparedness and response.

Palestine : Cost of Israeli occupation of West Bank estimated at $58 billion (PRIV)

 The cumulative economic cost as a result of tighter Israeli restrictions, stricter closure policy and military operations in the West Bank following the outbreak of the second Palestinian "intifada", or uprising, in 2000 is estimated at $57.7 billion, the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has said.
