Trade : Differences persist at WTO on "deliverables" for MC12 (PRIV)

With less than eight days left for the WTO's 12th ministerial conference (MC12), differences persist among members on the issues of fisheries subsidies, agriculture, the WTO's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as other issues, with "take-it-or-leave-it" decisions likely to be foisted on the developing countries, said people familiar with the negotiations.

Among the several issues that are hanging in the balance at the WTO's 12th ministerial conference (MC12) that starts in less than eight days, the one on the 1998 work program on electronic commerce involving the moratorium on customs duties on electronic transmissions is proving to be the most intractable, said people familiar with the development.
