Trade : Efforts underway at WTO to elevate EU's proposal on TRIPS waiver (PRIV)

Efforts seem to be underway in the ongoing closed-door consultations to brush aside the TRIPS waiver proposal in combating the COVID-19 pandemic while elevating the European Union's proposal relating to the use of compulsory licensing as the WTO's response to the pandemic, said people familiar with the development.

Trade : China & Russia reject inclusion of forced labour in fisheries disciplines (PRIV)

China and Russia on 15 November rejected the inclusion of the issue of forced labour, as proposed by the United States, in the proposed disciplines on fisheries subsidies in the chair's second revised draft text.

WHO : Two-track approach proposed for pandemic preparedness & response (PRIV)

The fourth meeting of the Member States' Working Group on Strengthening WHO Preparedness and Response (WGPR) finalized its report to the World Health Assembly Special Session (WHASS), which proposes a two-track approach as a way forward.
