Trade : Ministers deliver divergent messages on WTO "deliverables" for MC12 (PRIV)

Trade ministers and senior officials on 5 October have apparently echoed divergent messages and discordant notes on what can be achieved on the issues of fisheries subsidies, the WTO's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, agriculture, and proposed WTO reforms, at the WTO's 12th ministerial conference (MC12) scheduled to begin in Geneva from 30 November .

UN : G77 reaffirms UNCTAD's role as focal point for trade & development (PRIV)

The Group of 77 and China, in its Ministeria l Declaration to the fifteenth session of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD-15), reaffirmed the important role of UNCTAD as the focal point in the United Nations for the integrated treatment of trade and development and inter-related issues in the areas of finance, technology, investment and sustainable development.

Netherlands : ACM decision on abuse of market exclusivity & excessive pricin g (PRIV)

A recent decision of the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM), the Dutch competition authority, may go a long way in addressing the abuse of market exclusivity of orphan drugs through excessive price.
