Trade : TRIPS waiver proposal being undermined by EU at WTO (PRIV)

The chair of the WTO's TRIPS Council, Ambassador Dagfinn Sorli from Norway, has convened a meeting on 14 September to discuss the revised temporary TRIPS waiver proposal that seeks to ramp-up the production of diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccines across countries in fighting the worsening COVID-19 pandemic.

UN : Preaches transparency but fails to practice it in its own backyard (PRIV)

The United Nations has long preached the wisdom of transparency and accountability to the outside world, but has failed to practice the same principles in its own backyard - or even on the 39th floor of the Secretary-General's office in the UN Secretariat.
