UN : At least 2% of GDP needed annually for climate/Agenda 2030 ambition (PRIV)

At an event held under the UNFCCC's Subsidiary Bodies (SBs) in the first week of June, governments were told that a minimum of 2 per cent of global GDP annually (upwards of USD 1.7 trillion) will be needed for the next few decades, with much of it for the developing world in order to deliver on the ambitions set out in the UN Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement (PA).

At the school in El Guarumal, a remote village in eastern El Salvador, the children no longer have to walk several kilometers along winding paths to fetch water from wells; they now "harvest" it from the rain that falls on the roofs of their classrooms.
