Trade : New GC chair reports no progress on e-com moratorium, WTO reform (PRIV)

The new chair of the World Trade Organization's General Council (GC) on 6 May apparently stated that her consultations with members since the failed WTO's 14th ministerial conference (MC14) in Yaounde, Cameroon, in March, have yielded no progress in resolving the impasse over the extension of the e-commerce moratorium and on WTO reform.

WHO : IGWG recommends extension of PABS negotiations to WHA79 (PRIV)

The resumed 6th Session of the Intergovernmental Working Group (resumed IGWG6) of Member States of the World Health Organization working on the Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing (PABS) System recommended extending the negotiations to the 79th Session of the World Health Assembly (WHA79).

Finance : Private credit's tech & AI-heavy exposure poses stability risks (PRIV)

While private credit brings benefits in the form of tailored finance for companies and diversification for investors, it also embeds several vulnerabilities, including complex inter-linkages with banks, borrower credit quality concerns, and valuation opacity, according to the Financial Stability Board (FSB).
