UN : Historic aid shortfall putting millions of vulnerable people at risk (PRIV)

More than halfway through the year, the humanitarian funding landscape remains dire, with less than 17 per cent of the $46 billion required to meet global humanitarian needs in 2025 having been received as of now, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

Afghanistan : Mounting risks for Afghan women & girls returning home (PRIV)

Afghan women and girls are facing increased risks of poverty, early marriage, harassment and exploitation amid the recent surge in returns to Afghanistan, according to UN Women and the humanitarian agency CARE International.

Sudan : Thousands at risk of starvation amid a "gender emergency" (PRIV)

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) on 7 August warned that the humanitarian situation in Sudan is continuing to deteriorate, putting even more civilian lives at risk, particularly in El Fasher where thousands of people are facing starvation.
