Climate : Key issues on mitigation talks deferred to COP 30 in Brazil (PRIV)

At the recently concluded climate talks in Bonn, Germany on 26 June, Parties adopted a procedural outcome for the "Sharm-el-Sheikh Mitigation Ambition and Implementation Work Programme" (MWP), deferring the key issues to be decided at COP 30 in Belem, Brazil later this year.

UN : Critical funding cuts endanger food aid for millions of Sudanese refugees (PRIV)

Millions of Sudanese refugees who have fled to neighbouring countries are at risk of plunging deeper into hunger as critical funding shortages are forcing drastic cuts to life-saving food assistance, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has warned.

The UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) has taken an unprecedented step by reviewing Afghanistan's compliance with its obligations under the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, without the engagement of the existing de facto authorities in the country.
