Ministers differ on WTO reforms at informal Paris meeting (PRIV)

Several trade ministers, including the United States Trade Representative (USTR), at an informal meeting in Paris on 3 June, appear to have presented their respective but differing assessments on how to reform the World Trade Organization, with Washington raising fundamental concerns about the current practice of decision-making by consensus, said people familiar with the development.

Across the Sahel region, 28.7 million people are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance and protection services, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has said, warning that lives are at stake if humanitarians are not given the resources needed to support those in need across the region.
