UN : Global job growth to slow amid trade disruptions, rising uncertainty (PRIV)

Reflecting a weakened global economic outlook, the International Labour Organization (ILO) has projected the creation of 53 million jobs in 2025, instead of the previously estimated 60 million.

Global economic growth has been moderately employment-intensive over the past decade, with productivity growth outpacing employment growth, but the persistence - and in some cases the expansion - of informal employment remains a critical concern in developing countries, the International Labour Organization (ILO) has said.

Sudan : Over 1 million children at risk as deadly cholera spreads - UNICEF (PRIV)

More than 7,700 cholera cases - including over 1,000 cases in children under the age of five - and 185 associated deaths have been reported in Khartoum State, Sudan since January this year, with cases surging significantly between 15 and 25 May, according to the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF).
