The United States has expressed serious concerns about the World Trade Organization's Secretariat activities, in particular the "systemic implications" that those activities are having on the Council for Trade in Goods (CTG) and its sub-bodies.

United States President Donald Trump on 26 March seemingly caused fresh tremors in the global trading system with the announcement of 25% tariffs on imports of cars and auto parts, on top of the reciprocal tariffs to be imposed by the US on its major trading partners on 2 April.

UN : DRC now facing one of the world's worst food crises (PRIV)

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) on 27 March said that conflict and rising food prices have driven the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) into one of the world's worst food crises.
