Trade : US rebuffs Canada over steel & aluminium tariffs at WTO (PRIV)

The United States on 21 March informed Canada that Washington's allegedly unilateral tariff of 25% on imports of steel and aluminium products originating in Canada was imposed on "national security" grounds, which are "political matters not susceptible to review or capable of resolution by WTO dispute settlement."
