Trade : Canada & China retaliate against US tariffs, Mexico to announce tariffs (PRIV)

Canada and China on 4 March separately retaliated against the unilateral tariffs of 25% imposed by the United States on all Canadian goods and a 10% additional tariff on all Chinese goods over and above the 10% tariff imposed last month, setting the stage for accelerating a trade war to be fought on different fronts, said people familiar with the development.

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) on 3 March launched a seemingly frontal assault on the World Trade Organization, including the treaty flexibilities accorded to the developing countries like special and differential treatment (S&DT) and China's entry into the WTO.

UN : Displacement crisis worsens amid escalating conflict in eastern DRC (PRIV)

Insecurity and horrific sexual violence have pushed tens of thousands in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to flee across borders with no sign of the exodus stopping, according to UNHCR, the United Nations Refugee Agency.
