India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan call for consensus-based decisions in agri- talks (PRIV)

India, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan on 4 Novemb er upped the ante on the need to decide on issues in the Doha agriculture negotiations based on the principle of "consensus", joining the African Gro up in demanding that the facilitator-led-process, as proposed by the World Trade Organization's Director- General, must be based on "consensus" and not "convergence", said people familiar with the development.

Global cross-border bank claims changed litt le during the second quarter of 2024, with claims dropping by a modest $11 bil lion following a surge in the previous quarter, according to the Bank for Intern ational Settlements (BIS).
