Developing countries have strongly called for equity and ambition in the provision of biodiversity financial resources.

UN : Global growth at new "low normal", South facing harshest impacts (PRIV)

Global economic growth is projected to stagn ate at 2.7 per cent in 2024 and 2025, marking a sustained drop from the 3 per c ent annual average seen between 2011 and 2019 and well below the 4.4 per cent average in the years before the 2008 financial crisis, according to UN Trad e and Development (formerly known as UNCTAD).

UN : Merchandise trade to rebound by 2% in 2024 amid geopolitical turmoil (PRIV)

After stagnating in 2023, international trad e in goods and services is expected to rebound by 2 to 3 per cent in real terms in 2024, mainly driven by a revival of merchandise trade that accounts for 75% of gl obal commerce in value, according to UN Trade and Development (formerly known as UNCTAD).
