Trade : US stymies hopes of restoring a two-tier DSS at WTO by year-end (PRIV)

The United States on 28 October stated unambiguously that Washington will not settle for a reformed dispute settle ment system (DSS) if it does not address the US' "interests" in the ongoing disc ussions on DSS reform at the World Trade Organization, said people familiar with th e discussions.

UN : Sudan engulfed in a "nightmare of violence, hunger & displacement" (PRIV)

The people of Sudan are living through a nightmare of violence, hunger, disease, collapsed infrastructure and displa cement, with suffering growing by the day, according to Mr Antonio Guterres, the Un ited Nations Secretary-General.
