WTO : MC14 in March 2026, Brazil elevates IFDA as top priority at G20 meet (PRIV)

The World Trade Organization's upcoming 14th ministerial conference (MC14) is tentatively scheduled to be held in Cameroon during the last ten days of March 2026, due to the Director-Genera l selection process and varying levels of progress in different areas, includ ing on the reform of the dispute settlement system, agriculture, and fisheries sub sidies among others, said people familiar with the development.

The leaders of the expanded BRICS group of countries, meeting in Kazan, the Russian Federation, reaffirmed their commi tment to multilateralism and upholding international law, including the purposes and principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter as its indispensable cornerstone, as well as the central role of the UN in the international sys tem.

The leaders of the expanded BRICS group of countries, meeting in Kazan, the Russian Federation, on 22-24 October, for the 16th BRICS Summit, underscored "the need to reform the current internationa l financial architecture to meet the global financial challenges including gl obal economic governance, to make the international financial architecture more inclusive and just."
