Trade : Tensions over attempts to undermine institutional structures at WTO (PRIV)

The United States on 3 July seems to have suggested that tensions over process- related issues stalled the progress o f several issues at the World Trade Organization, subtly hinting at support for an in formal process being conducted by Brazil that has been opposed by many members, sa id people familiar with the development.

Ukraine : Intensified Russian attacks taking "horrific toll" on civilians - UN (PRIV)

The full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Ru ssian Federation and the subsequent hostilities continued to have a devastating i mpact on the civilian population during the period between 1 March and 31 May 202 4, according to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

Haiti : Persistent violence displacing one child every minute, says UNICEF (PRIV)

The number of internally displaced children in Haiti has increased by an estimated 60 per cent since March - the equivalen t of one child every minute - as a result of the ongoing violence caused by arme d groups, according to the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF).
