Trade : China tells US not to raise internal matters of Hong Kong at WTO (PRIV)

China has told the United States not to interfere in the internal matters of Hong Kong (China) by raising alleged v iolation of free speech and human rights during a discussion over a dispute at the W orld Trade Organization, suggesting that only a restored panel mechanism can add ress Washington's concerns against the panel ruling in the dispute, said people familiar with the development.

WTO : African Group seeks "policy space" to pursue green industrial policies (PRIV)

The African Group upped the ante on "poli cy space" for developing countries to pursue green industrialization policies at the World Trade Organization last week, amidst a subsidies war being allegedly pursued by the United States, the European Union, and China among others in pursuing their own green industrialization policies.

Developing countries made fervent calls to discuss the quantum of the new collective quantified goal on climate finance (NCQG), and for developed countries to reveal how much mone y they are willing to put on the table.
