Climate : Difficult negotiations on Just Transition Work Programme (PRIV)

The concluded climate talks under the UNFCCC's Subsidiary Bodies (SBs) in Bonn, Germany, saw Parties finally agre e to a further consideration of the Just Transition Work Programme (JTWP) in Baku, Azerbaijan, in November, later this year, after long and intense nego tiations on the way forward.

At the recently concluded 60th session of the UNFCCC's Subsidiary Bodies (SB 60) on 13 June in Bonn, Germany, negotiations proved irreconcilable over the "scope" of the "United Arab Emi rates (UAE) dialogue" established by paragraph 97 of the decision on the first gl obal stocktake (GST) outcome, adopted at the annual climate talks in Dubai last year.

Although the number of antibacterial agents in the clinical pipeline, including antibiotics, increased from 80 in 2021 to 97 in 2023, there is still a pressing need for new, innovative agents to tackle s erious infections and to replace those becoming ineffective due to widespread use, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
