Trade : India, China issue two proposals on development at WTO (PRIV)

India and China issued two separate propo sals on 7 May on how to address a plethora of issues concerning development at t he World Trade Organization, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the multilateral trade body, which appears to have failed to accord importance to development as compared to other issues, said people familiar with the development.

Far too many children were exposed to humanitarian crises in 2023 in which their rights to survival, protection, health care, education and clean water were ignored, or even targeted, the UN Chil dren's Fund (UNICEF) has said.
