WORKING PARTIES SET ON APPLICATIONS FOR ACCESSION TO GATT.

GENEVA JUNE 17 (IFDA) -- The GATT Council Wednesday named separate working parties to examine and report on the Algeria's request for accession to GATT, and Guatemala's request for provisional accession.

Also, the working party looking into Costa Rica earlier request for provisional accession is now to look into Costa Rica's request for full accession.

In other decisions, the Council named Switzerland's Pierre-Louis Girard as Chairman of the working party to look into China's application for resumption of its status as a GATT Contracting Party.
