The United States President Joseph Biden on 28 April declared that the "trickle-down" economics has failed to address the bread-and-butter concerns of the vast majority of people while buffeting some 600 billionaires in his country with more than $1 trillion in gains during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Trade : China blocks Australia's panel request over duties on barley (PRIV)

A request for the establishment of a dispute panel by Australia to examine anti-dumping and countervailing duties imposed by China on imports of barley from Australia was blocked by China at a meeting of the WTO Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) on 28 April.
