The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has cautioned that the digital rules being negotiated by the members of the informal Joint Statement Initiative (JSI) group at the World Trade Organization will "have high costs of compliance and can adversely impact trade competitiveness of developing countries in the digital economy."
