UN : Global food prices remain firm in June, says FAO (PRIV)

The international prices of a basket of key agricultural food commodities were unchanged in June, as higher vegetable o il, sugar and dairy prices offset lower prices for cereals, according to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in July has raised its latest forecast for global cereal production i n 2024 by 7.9 million tonnes (0.3 percent), which is now pegged at 2,854 million tonn es, up fractionally from 2023, and marking a new all-time high.
