Trade : South calls for extending deadline to conclude fisheries deal to MC12 (PRIV)

Several developing countries, including India, have suggested extending the deadline to conclude the fisheries subsidies agreement until the WTO's 12th ministerial conference (MC12) in June 2021, due to the escalating Covid-19 health crisis that would make it difficult for their capital-based officials to physically participate in negotiations, trade envoys told the SUNS.
