Climate : TEC needs to understand meaning of technology transfer    (PRIV)

       The Technology Executive Committee (TEC) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) needs to have a proper understanding of technology transfer in order to play its role effectively.

Rio+20 : Civil society report on "No future without justice"    (PRIV)

       A group of 18 leading civil society activists and scholars from around the globe released today a joint report titled "No future without justice" in advance of the gathering of world leaders at the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in two weeks.

Rio+20 : A stalemated UN in do-or-die session on action plan    (PRIV)

       After week-long negotiations, a meeting of the Preparatory Committee (PrepCom) to finalise a plan of action titled "The Future We Want" for next week's Rio+20 summit has failed to reach agreement - and deferred a decision to a final three-day session in Brazil.

       As the United States struggles to level the racial disparities in its education system, the birth rate of minorities has been rising steadily. Experts say this confluence of statistics should compel Americans to seriously address the flaws and failures of the country's public education system.
